The following policy pertains to all bookings made via telephone, online portals, email, and social media platforms.  Placing a booking via these methods will imply that you have read and understood the terms and conditions herein.

General

  1. Healey Dell Heritage Centre and Tea Rooms (referred to hereafter as “The Tea Rooms”) accepts bookings through the following platforms: 
    1. Email via [email protected];
    2. Text or Whatsapp via 07720448271;
    3. The Healey Dell Heritage Centre and Tea Rooms website via the Booking Page;
    4. Online booking page on the Table Agent platform; and
    5. The Facebook page for Healey Dell Heritage Centre and Tea Rooms.
  2. Any bookings made with The Tea Rooms should be confirmed in writing via these means, including via email or text communication.
  3. Where the policy mentions changes made “in writing”, only the methods mentioned above are acceptable.

Afternoon Tea Bookings for parties of fewer than 10 people

  1. Customers must specify the type of afternoon tea required at the time of booking under the special requirements or dietary requirements section e.g., Gentleman’s, Traditional, Vegan, Children etc.
  2. Any dietary requirements or allergies must be notified at the time of booking or at least 24 hours prior to the booking time.
  3. The Tea Rooms cannot guarantee it will be able to accommodate any last-minute (less than 24 hours notice) dietary/allergy requirements as some products require complex preparation and are made “to order”.
  4. Cancellations or reductions in numbers made less than 24 hours in advance of the booking time will have to be paid for in full or a minimum of £20 per person.  No charges apply if such cancellations are made at least 24 hours in advance of the booking time.

Afternoon Tea Bookings for parties of 10 or more people

  1. A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required. Should the booking be cancelled, this deposit will not be refunded.
  2. Any changes to the booking, including a reduction or increase in numbers, must be notified in writing at least 72 hours prior to the booking time.
  3. Any changes made with less than 72 hours’ notice, including a reduction or increase in numbers, will result in a minimum charge of £20 per person to be accommodated.
  4. A 10% service charge applies to these bookings.
  5. Dietary requirements and allergies must be specified in writing a minimum of 72 hours prior to the booking time.  We cannot guarantee any last-minute requests made within 72 hours of the booking time.
  6. Any damages and/or breakages to the venue or inventory must be paid for by the customer or the named person on the booking.

Venue hires and events

  1. A 10% service charge applies to all bookings.
  2. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm reservations. Should the booking be cancelled, this deposit will not be refunded.
  3. Any changes to the date of the booking should be made seven (7) days in advance of the booking date. Changes must be submitted in writing. 
    1. A new booking date must be a minimum of seven (7) days after the date the request is made. For example, a request made on the 1st of the month can only be made if the event in question will now take place on or after the 8th of the month.
  4. Any other changes to the booking, including a reduction or increase in numbers, must be notified in writing at least 72 hours prior to the booking time.
  5. Any damages and/or breakages to the venue or inventory must be paid for by the customer or the named person on the booking.

Table booking policy (including Takeaway and Eat-in bookings)

  1. Any cancellation of bookings made, or changes to customer numbers, must be made in writing with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice before the booking time.
  2. Any cancellation or reduction of customer numbers made within 24 hours of the booking time will warrant a charge of £15 per person (subject to the discretion of The Tea Rooms).
  3. Table/seating preferences cannot be guaranteed. The Tea Rooms will endeavour to accommodate your request, but cannot make any guarantee for your seating preferences.

Third Party Booking policy

In addition to the above rules, further rules and restrictions apply for gift vouchers brought from Groupon, Wowcher, Red Letter Days, Gourmet Society, Buy a Gift and Healey Dell Heritage Centre and Tea Rooms vouchers.  Those rules will be specified in their respective online portal.
